Donations to Happy Hollow Foundation supports Happy Hollow Park & Zoo’s mission to connect people to nature through play. Donations fund life science lessons at economically disadvantaged schools, conservation efforts locally and around the world, new exhibits, and much more. Happy Hollow Foundation is the registered 501(c)3 nonprofit partner of Happy Hollow Park & Zoo, which is owned and operated by the City of San José.

In recent years, the foundation helped fund new exhibits for giant anteaters, red pandas and an American alligator, and supported the restoration of the bee apiary after the 2017 flood. The foundation also funds the Progress for Pollinators grant program, which populates Santa Clara County with beautiful native gardens that attract bees, birds and butterflies. The foundation’s current project focuses on making education more accessible to our local community by raising money for Title I school field trips to Happy Hollow.
